Constantine Movie Cast
Constantine is a 2005 American action horror film directed by Francis Lawrence. The film is based on the Hellblazer comic book series, with plot elements taken from the Dangerous Habits story arc (Issues # 41 - 46 ) and the Original Sins trade paperback. In the grand scheme of theological thrillers, Constantine aspires for the greatness of The Exorcist but ranks more closely with The Order. Based on the popular Hellblazer comic book series, and directed with nary a shred of intelligence by music video veteran Francis Lawrence, it's basically The Matrix with swarming demons instead of swarming machines. John Constantine is a purveyor of the dark arts and lifeline of last resort. While he wasn't born with a natural ability to create magic, Constantine has an affinity for it and the supernatural. He requires an artifact to cast most spells but can see spirits and demons. At some point, Constantine became master of the House of Mystery and began storing the most dangerous magical artifacts there.
